Young Engineers Estepona teaches STEM by playing with Lego
An innovative educational program arrives in the city combining science, technology and engineering through play
Young Engineers Estepona has arrived in the city with a STEM educational program that transforms the learning of science, technology, engineering and mathematics into a practical and fun experience through building mechanical Lego-type models.
Learning by building and playing
The project invites boys and girls to discover the world of mechanics, physics and engineering by building models inspired by real life. From washing machines to understand centrifugal force to fairground attractions to explore movement, each activity connects theory with practice in a meaningful way adapted to each age.
The methodology is based on active learning, where making mistakes is a natural part of the process and the path to more creative solutions. Participants use mechanical Lego-type pieces and motors to bring their projects to life, while simultaneously developing skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, teamwork and frustration management.
A flexible and inclusive proposal
Young Engineers Estepona offers after-school activities, themed workshops, educational camps and activities for companies and seniors. The program also has options adapted for children with neurodevelopmental alterations, promoting inclusion and access to quality educational experiences for all.
The initiative is already operational in Estepona, contributing to the development of a more creative, collaborative community prepared for the challenges of the future.
