Estepona to Get Five Permanent Booths at the Fairgrounds
Town Hall Opens 40-Year Concession Process for Year-Round Facilities
Estepona Town Hall has initiated the tender process for the construction and operation of five new permanent booths at the Fairgrounds and Sports Park, as published today in the Official Gazette of Málaga Province (BOPMA). The facilities may be used year-round according to authorized festive periods.
The Estepona fairgrounds expands its recreational infrastructure offering with this tender that includes five municipally-owned plots. The goal is to equip the space with suitable facilities for patron saint fairs and annual festivities, while utilizing them during the rest of the year as permanent leisure spaces.
Plot Characteristics
The five available plots have varying surfaces: three of them are 100 square meters, a fourth is 99.92 meters, and the fifth is 144.90 square meters. All require the construction of two-story permanent booths, aligned on ground and upper floors.
Projects must mandatorily include a lounge-living room with dance floor, bar counter, kitchen, storage room, and restrooms with independent access. These spaces must comply with the proportions established in the General Urban Planning Plan (PGOU) according to each booth’s surface area.
Economic Conditions and Term
The minimum annual fee is set at €3,141 plus applicable taxes for the 100-square-meter booths, €3,138.49 for the 99.92-meter one, and €4,551.31 for the largest. The concession will extend for a maximum period of 40 years.
Successful bidders will assume all maintenance, conservation, repair and replacement costs during the concession period, with the Town Hall not having to pay any amount for these services.

Requirements and Limitations
Each bidder may only apply for one booth, although they may submit bids for several according to order of preference. In case of a tie between applications, it will be resolved by draw.
Current booth concessionaires at the fairgrounds cannot participate, nor can those who hold a minimum 25% stake in current concessionaires at the venue.
Submission Deadlines
The procedure will remain under public consultation for 20 days from its publication in BOPMA. Interested parties can review the complete specifications with all technical and administrative requirements on the Town Hall website.
The new booths will consolidate the Fairgrounds as a benchmark venue for leisure and celebrations in Estepona, adding permanent infrastructure to the current set of temporary facilities.
