Discover All the Activities Offered by Estepona Town Hall for This Christmas
Over 50 free plans to enjoy with family and friends throughout the Christmas season in Estepona
Estepona welcomes Christmas with a schedule that brings together more than fifty cultural, musical, and leisure activities designed for all audiences. From late November until January 5th, locals and visitors can enjoy concerts, shows, attractions, markets, and traditions, with free access to most events and the magical city atmosphere as the main attraction.
The Estepona Town Hall has presented its 2025 Christmas program, beginning on November 28th with the switching on of the Christmas lights in the iconic Plaza Antonia Guerrero at 7:00 p.m. This much-awaited moment will feature performances by the traditional Estepona Pastorales and the voice of Julia Fernández-Llébrez, acclaimed at the 10th ‘Estepona CREA’ Contest.
The Councilor for Culture and Festivities, Macarena Diánez, highlighted the effort “to offer an inclusive and varied program, with special attention to families and the participation of the entire local community.” Most of the activities are free and will take place in cultural venues, streets, squares, and neighborhoods, bringing the magic of Christmas to every corner.
A Christmas Park to Dream at the Felipe VI Auditorium Theatre
This year’s big highlight is the new Christmas Park next to the Felipe VI Auditorium Theatre. From November 29th to January 4th, from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., children and adults can enjoy an ice rink, Santa’s house, attractions, carousel, inflatable castles, ice slide, and a food court. The Park will be open at special hours on December 25th and January 1st, and closed on December 24th and 31st.
The theatre will be the main stage for musicals, ballet, and shows aimed at families. Events range from the Great Acrobatic Circus of China (November 28th), the 80s and 90s musical, “The Nutcracker” ballet, children’s musicals, and the anticipated double performance of Cantajuego, to the classic New Year’s Concert, which will be performed by the Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra in early January.

Music, culture, and solidarity throughout the city
Christmas in Estepona is also lived through its special markets and fairs. The Exhibition and Congress Centre will host the first Outlet Factory Brands Fair (December 5th–7th), with part of the proceeds going to the local Spanish Association Against Cancer. The traditional School Musical Meeting will also be held there, with attendees contributing non-perishable food for charity.
The Real Street Paseíllo will once again host the “Popi, Sabor a Málaga” Cheese Fair from December 12th to 14th; and the Plaza del Rocío will hold the blessing of the Baby Jesus on the 16th. Plaza del Ajedrez, a regular Christmas hot spot, will offer Santa’s Village and children’s activities on December 21st.
The Mirador del Carmen and Padre Manuel Cultural Centre will be the venues for book presentations, choir concerts, cultural journalism workshops, and, as a special treat, the celebration of the 130th anniversary of the birth of cinema with film music and the screening of “It’s a Wonderful Life.”
Christmas reaches every neighborhood and ends with the Parade
The festive spirit also extends to Cancelada, Nueva Atalaya, and other areas, with flamenco zambomba parties, sweet contests, shows, and Christmas gatherings for seniors. The final touch comes on December 31st, with the Popular New Year’s Eve Party in Plaza del Reloj, featuring live music, free party hats, and fireworks to say goodbye to 2025.
The magic continues until January 5th, when the Three Wise Men parade along the main streets, handing out sweets and collecting children’s letters. Before that, the Royal Postman will receive children’s wishes in Plaza Antonia Guerrero.
